While the holiday is one day, there are several days worth of celebrations in the area. Check out the list below to plan your fun.
Haunted Trails Halloween event: 6 - 10 p.m. Oct. 25. Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. Two Halloween trails, enchanted forest, a Disney-themed trunk or with booths and characters such as Coco and the Nightmare before Christmas, along with activities set up for the kids. Circus of Screams, scary adult trail. Enjoy popcorn and cider. Free and open to all authorized patrons and their guests.
Haunted Hayride and Carnival: Oct. 24-26, begins at dark at Mike’s Farm, 1600 Haw Branch Road, Beulaville. Haunted hayride, Oct. 24-26, cost $9. Carnival, Oct. 25-26. Free admission.
Pumpkin Patch Carnival: Oct. 26 6 - 9 p.m., First Baptist Church of Richlands, 100 Rand St. Hayride, carnival games, free food, live music, and more.
Monster Bash: Oct. 26, 5 - 8:30 p.m., Onslow County Parks and Recreation, 1244 Onslow Pines Road, Jacksonville. Trunk-or-treat, food vendors, pumpkin painting, pet and human costume contest, glow in the dark dodgeball, games, fun and movie to top it all off.
Haunted Farm Halloween Party & Trunk-or-Treat: Oct. 26 3 - 10 p.m., Humphrey Farm, 522 W. Willis Landing Road in Hubert. Halloween cake bake-off with free samples, cookie decorating station, costume contests, carved pumpkin contest, kids Halloween art contest, free hayrides and cow train rides, free games, pony rides, photo backdrops, trunk-or-treat.
Trunk-or-Treat: Oct. 26, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at New River Harley Davidson. Come dressed in your Halloween Costume and trick-or-treat at the Dealership.
Surf City’s Fall Fest: Oct. 26, 4 - 6:30 p.m. at Soundside Park, 517 Roland Ave., Surf City. Food vendors, games, face painter, balloon art, free concert featuring Heads Up Penny and beer garden.
Trunk-or-Treat: 6 - 8 p.m. Oct. 26. First Presbyterian Church, 400 N. Bayshore Blvd. Jacksonville. Food, crafts, activities, and plenty of candy for children of all ages.
Trunk-or-Treat: 5 p.m. Oct. 26. North Shore Academy, 1355 N.C. 210 Sneads Ferry.
Fall Festival: 4:30 - 6 p.m. Oct. 27. Swansboro United Methodist Church, 665 W. Corbett Ave. Trunk-or-treat, hot dogs, lemonade, and pumpkin patch.
Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Bash: Oct. 27, 2 - 5 p.m. at Hammocks Beach State Park, 1572 Hammocks Beach Road in Swansboro. Haunted house, hayrides, games, candy, prizes, and more.
Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat: Oct. 27, 3 - 6 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 301 Marine Blvd. in Jacksonville. Trunk-or-treat is from 5 - 6 p.m. Event also includes petting zoo, cake walk, bouncy houses and more.
Fall Festival with Trunk or Treat: 6:30 - 8 p.m. Oct. 30. Bethlehem Baptist Church, 100 Half Moon Road, Jacksonville. Free pizza, Italian Ice, bounce house, apple cider and cookies, trunk-or-treat plus photo booth. Kids can wear the costumes.
Fall Festival: 6 - 8 p.m. Oct. 31, Brookwood Baptist Church, 903 Henderson Dr. Jacksonville. Food, games and trunk-or-treat.
Trunk-or-Treat: Oct. 31 6 - 8 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church of Jacksonville, 919 Gum Branch Road in Jacksonville. Family-friendly trunks, free hotdogs, drinks, cotton candy, popcorn, inflatables and a hayride.
Fall Fest: 5 - 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Jacksonville Mall, 375 Western Blvd. Bring the kids in their costumes for trick-or-treating throughout the mall and then outside at the back lawn for games, prizes, activities.
Trunk-or-Treat: 4 - 6 p.m. Oct. 31. Marine Chevrolet, 1408 Western Blvd. Jacksonville. Trunk-or-treaters visit each trunk to collect goodies and get their punch card punched. Hot dogs, hot chocolate, games, face painting, live DJ and photo booth to capture the fun.
Trunk-or-Treat: 6 - 9 p.m. Oct. 31. Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2531 Burgaw Hwy. Dress up and enjoy hotdogs, roasted marshmallows, candy, and bonfire.
Trunk-or-Treat: 6 - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Memorial Baptist Church, 904 Main St. in Maysville. Event includes trunk or treat, candy, games and cake walk.
Boo Bash: Oct. 26, 3 - 8 p.m. at Kingdom Culture Church, 111 Kinston Hwy. in Richlands. Live music, raffles and prizes, food, vendors, bounce houses, games and trunk-or-treat.
