Sneads ferry has fared well during hurricane Dorian. There appears to be minimal damage, mostly small debris and limbs down, while it looks like the fish houses and boats were left intact. The majority of businesses are open to serve citizens.

Residents are thankful Sneads Ferry was spared by Hurricane Dorian. One resident, Dr. John Georgitis and Jeanette Rivera, residents of Pelicans Point, woke up to relief as the storm blew fierce winds in the night.

Last year with Hurricane Florence, their home flooded on the bottom floor and their dock was destroyed. It was rebuilt this summer and spared by the storm.
