Holly Ridge Town Clerk Heather Reynolds said the town “did pretty good” and never lost power late Thursday and early Friday morning.
“It was windy and we got a lot of rain, but it wasn’t too bad,” she said.
The water never reached levels that poised risks to citizens or properties,” Reynolds added.
“Not at all,” she said. “We were very lucky. We are glad we prepared for the worse and ended up in a good situation.”
Reynolds added the police department “has been out doing assessment,” but law enforcement hasn’t seen damages, “not even any trees down” in the area.
