A Sneads Ferry pastry and café, Sneaky Freaky Bake Shop, is now closed indefinitely, according to a sign posted on their front door.
The sign reads: “Due to health reasons the Sneaky Freaky Bake Shop Will be closed indefinitely. Thank you for your prior patronage.”
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services receives and handles complaints made against restaurants and bakeries for possible health violations. A food compliance officer for the DACS, Phadma Bhattacharjee, said their office has received no calls in regards to Sneaky Freaky.
Sneaky Freaky has not responded to calls or messages from The Daily News for more information.
The shop’s Facebook page describes it as a “chef owned operated pastry & coffee shop serving handmade pastries, bread puddings, cupcakes, & Kona Espresso (food & grind selections change daily).” The page lists the shop as “permanently closed.”
