Vampires are real and they are coming in North Carolina

Bloodsuckers, aka “the kissing bug” is hot on the topics list of online media. Have you seen the photo of this black/brown wingless bug that reminds me of a stink bug? The panic mode is in process. This little bug, typically a resident of Mexico and far southern states is making a hike up north, living outdoors but longing to take a nibble of your blood. The name kissing bug has nothing to do with romance, but by the fact they prefer a bit of blood from around your mouth area. Yuck. Will holy water, crosses or fire keep this monster away? Probably not, but maybe we need to look into the major pest control offered by Guinea fowl. Are they loud, freaky and very observant? Yes, but they love to eat yummy bugs.

My favorite gun is back in production. The Rossi Circuit Judge, a rifle/shotgun combo that uses a revolver cylinder for easy loading and unloading, is back on the market. This amazing long gun disappeared for a few years while Rossi made some corporate changes but now, by popular demand, my favorite is back.

A light weight long gun, perfect for young and old, people who want super simple for target shooting, hunting and home defense, this gun comes in all black, wood and black and wood and stainless steel. A comfortable option with little kick back, this rifle/shotgun combo is most popular in .45 Long Colt and .410 ( a popular combination of the Taurus Judge revolver). With an MSRP between $689 and $799, this 18.5” long gun weighs in around 5 pounds and is perfect for someone with arthritis or carpel tunnel.

The very affordable Heritage revolver is back and just in time for summer target shooting. Most popular in the 4 ¾ barrel but also available in the 6” barrel, this revolver that is reminiscent of the wild West. Available in .22 long rifle or a .22 mag they and also comes in a combo (.22lr/.22mag). For $199 or less you can get out and do some plinking and now that .22 lr. ammo is available everywhere you can spend a day at the range for less than $20 and have some fun!

Remember knowledge is power and during this wonderful weather, don’t forget to turn off your phone and get outdoors!
