Q: Can you print the address for Baptist Men of North Carolina, who are doing a lot of relief work? I would like to send a donation. J.J., Fayetteville

A: This is a good time for your question, since the organization is in the process of changing its name and has a huge need of donations and volunteer help. Now known as Baptists On Mission (because it's not just for men), the organization is an auxiliary of the Baptist State Convention of NC.

According to its website, Baptists On Mission is operating 14 recovery sites to help North Carolinians recover from Hurricane Florence, in Lumberton, Laurinburg, Red Springs, Warsaw and Elizabethtown. More than 3,000 recovery jobs have been completed since the storm hit the state on Sept. 13, and about 2,500 jobs still need to be completed.

Baptists On Mission also is distributing cleaning supplies, non-perishable items and canned food, diapers, baby formula and other supplies.

The mailing address for donations is Baptists On Mission, P.O. Box 1107, Cary, NC 27512. For questions or for volunteer information, call 800-395-5192, or visit the website at baptistsonmission.org.
