Honor your father on his day by telling the world why he is — or was — special.
Wisdom? A green thumb? Cooking skills?
Patience, kindness, devotion to family?
All of the above?
We are looking for stories about fathers to be published on Father’s Day, which is June 17.
Pick one or two (or three) traits (or things he did or said) and share them with us in 200 words or less (longer submissions will be edited).
Please include your favorite picture of him. Important: Be sure to include your father’s name and your name with your submission, along with a telephone number where we can reach you in case we have questions.
Send your story via email to email@example.com, drop it by our office at 500 Sunset Ave., or mail it to Chip Womick, c/o The Courier-Tribune, P.O. Box 340, Asheboro 27204-0340.
To be included in the special section, stories must be received in our office by Wednesday, June 13.
