With Christmas just around the corner, those who have procrastinated on sending their Christmas packages are running out of time.

To help make things a little easier and save time, here are a few tips from the U.S. Postal Service to get packages on their way in time for the big day.

• Wednesday is the last day for priority mail to have an expected delivery by Christmas.

• The last day for priority mail express service to be delivered by Christmas is Friday.

• Instead of making a trip to the local post office and waiting in line, residents can order free Priority Mail boxes to be delivered to their home or office, print and pay for shipping labels online, and schedule a free package pickup in order to send their packages.
