Her Bohemian Way is a new retreat studio that specializes in various health and wellness practices like yoga, massage therapy and workshops that will open later this month in Sneads Ferry.

The founder and owner of the business is Angelic Elrod, a North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Shamanic Reiki Master, and a registered Yoga Alliance Teacher.

“Her Bohemian Way is something I’ve been manifesting for a while. I knew going in there would be a lot of work, but it’s worth all of that to do what I do and in such a beautiful location,” Elrod said.

The waterfront studio is located at 316 Fulchers Landing Road in Sneads Ferry, a location that promotes the nourishment of mind, body and soul through natural beauty and a connection with nature.

“The sun rises right over the pier and it’s just breathtaking,” Elrod said, explaining that 75 percent of the building is located over the water. “As soon as you walk in the building we have mirrors all over so you can see the water in every angle.”

The studio’s Grand Opening event will be Saturday and will feature music from Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, live flutes and a frame drum, a harp and acoustic guitar.

“The Grand Opening is definitely about opening the doors and having people come see the beauty of the place, to experience the location. We want to show a place of culture and a center of collaboration that’s displayed in art and integration,” Elrod said.

There will also be painters, tarot card readings, an astrologist, dancers and many other practitioners that have partnered with Her Bohemian Way to provide an afternoon of cultural experiences.

“Part of the grand opening is the feedback. You get to see what kind of experience people are going to have before the opening of the studio,” Elrod said. “What people love and what people call for is what we’re going to bring.”

So far dance and yoga workshops have had the most interest with potential clientele. There have been bookings into August for art workshops, day retreats, and yoga meditation art.

“People can already book workshops and things online. This is nice for us because we can track where interest is moving to in regards to our classes or workshops,” Elrod said.

The grand opening will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 910-358-4027.
