Pink ammo hit the market last year when Hornady came out with a line of self-defense rounds in .38 special for women (but men can use it too). The 90 grain pink tipped hollow-point is designed to do maximum damage (in the case of self-defense) while reducing the recoil or kick of the gun when fired.

Currently this ammo is only available for revolvers, but that’s okay because more women carry revolvers than ever before.

Why a revolver you ask? Simple: They don’t jam and you can load and unload that baby yourself and cleaning can take less than a minute. Less stress, easy to use and simple to secure. If you pull the trigger and you don’t hear a “bang” pull the trigger again. Simple.

Holsters for women have taken a turn into the fun zone with the always entertaining “Flash Bang” holster. Designed to fasten to your bra, this holster comes in a variety of sizes for most small carry guns.

Want something a little more discreet? N82 (pronounced Nate squared tactical) makes a super comfortable small-of-the-back holster that will fit up to full size guns and will not be noticeable outside your clothing. These holsters have revolutionized comfort. Try one, you might just fall in love.

To help support one of the greatest Breast Cancer Awareness groups in our area, The Reel Housewives of Topsail Island, our shop has decided to donate $5 for every handgun or shotgun purchased and $10 for every rifle during the month of October. Now if you buy a pink gun (pistol, revolver, shotgun or rifle) we will donate $25 to the cause. Remember that Hornady ammo? $3 per box sold will also be donated. This is a win-win for our customers and a great cause.

Remember, regardless of color, race, gender or religion — All Breasts Matter!
