Liberty is having a rezoning meeting on July 23. The two acres that housed Coble Processors Inc., which burned in 1987, was sold June 1 by Audrea Coble Cook and Donald L. Cook of California to a family unaware of that plant being buried there.

I was present when a former owner pf the property said it was contaminated with asbestos from the burned building and was never supposed to be sold.

As a resident of Chatham County, I know our water source comes with Liberty in some way. Please attend the meeting at Liberty Town Hall on July 23 at 5 p.m.
