Roasted Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto

This recipe may be served as an appetizer or a side dish.

24 fresh asparagus spears, trimmed

¼ cup boiling water

12 thin slices prosciutto, about 8-ounces, cut in half lengthwise

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
