Surf's Up - March 7

Well surfers and surfettes, it is looking like we will be getting some surf by mid week as the winter storm gets its act together up north. We will have a low pressure setting up on the state line, and that will cause a shift in the wind pattern so our winds should be coming out of the north. The swell should start building and we should start seeing some waves around Wednesday, and it should stay with us a few days

The best waves right now are looking like they should be Saturday, and that is a good thing because there is a SNC ESA contest this weekend in Carolina Beach. It should be a good time. Now as we get through Saturday, the rest of the weekend is still looking good. Into the first of next week the wind will be shifting back to the south, but the swell will still be rideable. And with the south winds, the temps should be rising just in time for spring break.
