Surf's Up - March 14

Well, surfers and surfettes, man was it a great week for surf. All the spots were working from north to south, but the hot spot was Surf City Pier. There were a lot of cameras out and a lot of photos were taken — man, thanks to Facebook Surf City pier is getting the rep for being one of the best south-facing beaches in N.C. There was also a surf contest going on in C.B. over the weekend, and Surf City showed up to represent. Aaron placed in men’s and the open. Andrew placed in the masters and open. Brycen placed in the long board and paddle board. And Jeffry placed first in junior men’s, and Hayden placed in the men’s

This week we will have some surf in the middle of the week — should be fun up until Friday. The weather patterns will calm down and so will the waves, but the sun will be out and it’s going to be a great weekend to be on the beach. But you better bring a paddleboard or a longboard because it’s going to be small all weekend from the looks of the waves forecasting sites, and that’s going to carry over into the first of next week.
