In the biggest group of TBA, 5th and 6th grade boys, a down-to-the-wire nail bitter saw Davis Fence win 25-24 over Surf City Dental-Dr. Matthew Parr. Aidan Dillion poured in 14 for the Davis Fence aggregation. Surf City Tire & Auto took the Bagel Bakery to task, winning by 10 with Derek Gardner Jr. hitting the twines for 23 big points. LAIFinancial.com over Discovery Place with Jamison Long hitting for 15, the Ogden Tap Room over 84 Lumber 24-19 with James Stuart and Connor Wilson each hitting 10 points for their respective teams, while Canady & Son Exterminating defeated the Darden Insurance Agency.

Winding up the full day of TBA basketball play, the 7th and 8th grade boys took center stage.

In a nip and tuck contest, Hwy 55 Hampstead edged SPI 24-23, Dick’s Sporting Goods bounced AllKIndOfStuff.Biz with an even scoring attack with Alex Holland and Wright Harrison leading the way, and Scott’s Hill Hardware & Supply winning out over Lisa Mathews Re/Max Essential 32-27. Jacob Floyd let the way for the Hardware guys with 9 points while Barrett Holmes and Dawson Asbury both threw in 8 points for the Re/Max team.

TBA will break for the Christmas Holidays and resume play on Jan. 11 in both Topsail Middle School Gyms. Plan on coming out and support your local youth in action in this great TBA Basketball Program.
