Kyle Sumer named Longboard Champion for second year in a row

The Eastern Surfing Championships went off last week at Jennette’s Pier in the Outer Banks and the boys from Surf City were surfing great. Kyle Sumer was awarded the East Coast Longboard Championship for the second year in a row! Also representing Surf City was Josh Bradley who brought home 4th place in both Shortboard and Longboard competitions. Surf City was also represented well by Brycen Jernigan and Slater Powell. "Well done, boys! This is why we surf the ESA.," said OnShore Surf Shop owner George Howard.

The Eastern Surfing Association held its 45th annual Eastern Surfing Championships at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head Sept. 16-22 and Surf City were surfers brought home trophies to add to their collections. Kyle Sumer was awarded the East Coast Longboard Championship for the second year in a row! Also representing Surf City was Josh Bradley who brought home 4th place in both Shortboard and Longboard competitions. Surf City was also represented well by Brycen Jernigan and Slater Powell.
