Snow Peas and Shrimp Paella

Serves 4

2  cups chicken broth

1  teaspoon saffron or turmeric

1  tablespoon EVOO, olive oil

1/2 pound sausage or Italian sausage or kielbasa, cut in 1/4 inch coins

1 1/3 cups long grain rice
