Chamber of Commerce to hold Beach Party Auction on Friday
The Greater Topsail Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual auction and beach party this Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Assembly Building in Topsail Beach (720 Channel Blvd.) This year's theme is "Beach Party Hawaiian Style."
The event will begin with the live and silent auctions. One of the featured prizes being offered from the microphone of auctioneer Hugh Mac Hunter will be a Captain's Party Cruise consisting of dinner and a boat ride for 48 people aboard the Belle of Topsail.
Some of the items available at the silent auction will include a casino trip, a weekend in Myrtle Beach condominium, an autographed football from the Carolina Panthers, several golf packages, gift baskets, and dinner from many local restaurants.
The dinner party will immediately follow the auction. The menu at the auction will include steamed clams, shrimp, turkey wraps, chicken salad croissants, pasta salad, fruit and vegetable trays and desserts to choose from. Frozen daiquiris, margaritas and beer will also be available for purchase; all while DJ Clint Spell plays the music.
Tickets for members of the Chamber of Commerce are S15 per person and $25 per couple. For non-members, the ticket price is $20 and $35 for couples and will be available at the door.
Now in its 17th year, the Beach Party and Auction has a reputation as being a good time for all who attend. For more information, call the Greater Topsail Chamber of Commerce at (910) 329-4446.
