National Influenza Vaccination Week is wrapping up, but the Pender County Health Department wants to remind area residents that it’s not too late to get vaccinated. As long as flu viruses are spreading and causing illness, vaccination can still provide protection against the flu. The Pender County Health Department offers influenza vaccination for infants, children and adults Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on a walk-in basis.

Sneads Ferry Bingo

Sneads Ferry Bingo is wrapping up its season.

Final games will be played on Dec. 16 at the Sneads Ferry Community Center, located at 126 Park Lane off of Sneads Ferry Road. Building opens at 5:30 p.m. Bingo will resume in May. For more information, call 910-327-3335.
