Pancake breakfast

First United Methodist Church Youth will host a pancake breakfast at the church in Sneads Ferry from 7 to 10 a.m. on Dec. 7. Cost is $5 a plate, and proceeds support youth programming’s planned January ski trip. For information, contact Missy Maloney at 910-803-0252 or Rachel Waldron at 910-327-4011.

 

Hometown Christmas

The Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Hometown Christmas, a program encouraging residents to shop local this holiday season.

Businesses participating in the Hometown Christmas program are offering discounts and specials through Dec. 26.

Participating in this year’s Hometown Christmas program are Bellavie Boutique, Bumblebee, Carolina Décor & More, Finesse Pro Services, Inc., Gallagher’s Bar & Grill, The Gift Basket, Hampstead Pool, Spa & Patio, Inc., Mia’s Marketplace, Olde Point Golf & Country Club, Quarter Moon Books & Gifts, Sugar Island Bakery, The Topsail Island Trading Company, Topsail Sportswear, Inc. and Treasure Realty.
