SURF CITY — Area kid’s programs are getting quite a bit of extra support thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Topsail Island.
The 28th annual Topsail Island Kiwanis Golf Tournament held May 3 at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry brought in more than $5,000 to help provide local support.
Sixty-three golfers participated, and the team of Mike Hendricks, Jack Barnes, Alex Heinds and Braden Hendricks took first place. The second place team was made up of Randy Cox, Todd Rademacher, Kyle Breuer and Travis Stafford. The third place team was Bo Allen, Stan Crisp, Candace Seibert and Ward Seibert.

The 2014 Tournament Chairman Rick Benton had additional thanks for the tournament venue.
