Rose Society
Witherspoon Rose Culture representative David Strickland will be the guest speaker at the June meeting of the Wilmington Cape Fear Rose Society. He will speak on “Everything Roses” and answer attendee’s questions on growing roses in the coastal area. The meeting will be held June 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the New Hanover County Arboretum, located at 6206 Oleander Drive in Wilmington. Pancake breakfast
Boy Scout Troop 235 will host a blueberry pancake breakfast on June 7 at Hampstead United Methodist Church.  Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. and includes three blueberry pancakes, two link sausages, OJ/coffee. Cost is $5 per person and helps send local Scouts to summer camp. To purchase tickets in advance, contact Jeff or Nathan Trout at 910-270-9547.
