Pender County is one of the first public libraries in North Carolina to support the effort and joins co-partner University of North Carolina System in seeking to touch the lives of children from birth to age 8 under its message: Read Aloud 15 Minutes: Every Child - Every Parent - Every Day.
Committing fifteen minutes each day to reading aloud provides the foundation for more children to begin kindergarten ready to learn.
For more information visit the library, its website at youseemore.com/Penderpl or readaloud.org.
