Golf tournament
Old Point Country Club will host a Patriot Day Golf Tournament to help support the Folds of Honor Foundation. 
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Sept. 1 at the country club. Entry fees are $42. There will also be a putting contest from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. the same day, as well as a golf bag raffle. A portion of the proceeds go to the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of service members killed or disabled. Craft market
It’s your last chance to ‘Come Pillage in the Village.’ Topsail Island’s original craft market ends its season with a final day of sales Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 802 S. Anderson Blvd. in Topsail Beach. There are more than 20 vendors selling one-of-a-kind works of art and craft items each week at the market.
