Propagation class
The Pender County Master Gardener Association is offering a plant propagation class June 5 in the conference room of the Hampstead library. The class is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will be led by master gardeners Sandra Brown and Steve Bundy.
Several forms of plant propagation will be discussed including rooting, layering and plant division. The most effective form of propagation for various plants will be included. This will be an interactive class in which attendees will have the opportunity to propagate several types of plants, which they will take home at the end of the class. Class size is limited to 20 attendees and a registration fee of $5 will be required to cover the cost of materials. It is recommended that participants wear gloves.
