1. Blood drive: The Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center is having a Unity In Our Community Day Blood Drive today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at AAA Carolinas and Lee Hyundai at Red Tip and Skibo roads. The blood donor center is experiencing a low blood supply. Donors may go by the center, at 3357 Village Drive, Suite 150, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also is open the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All blood types are needed, however, the center has an urgent need for type O donors. 2. Prayer Walk: The fifth annual As One Prayer Walk is today in downtown Fayetteville. The walk starts at 10 a.m. in Festival Park and will include stops for prayer at various locations in the downtown area. The walk ends at Festival Park with music, food and fellowship. Motorists in the downtown area should be aware that several streets will be impacted by the walk, including Ray Avenue, Hay Street, Hillsboro Street, Donaldson Street, Franklin Street, Green Street and Maiden Lane.

3. Health fair: The Fayetteville VA Medical Center will hold a "Health & Wellness Fair" Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 1728 of the Fayetteville VA Health Care Center, 7300 S. Raeford Road. There will be health education and information, healthy grab bags, exercises, aromatherapy, cooking demonstrations, giveaways and more. Open to veterans and families.
