TROY — Celebrate libraries during April. Visit Biscoe, Star, Candor, Mt. Gilead or Troy libraries and enter a contest to win a 16GB Kindle Fire 8. Enter one time per week until Sunday, April 30, by telling the staff your favorite book title and author read since Jan. 1, 2017. The contest is open to ages 5 and up.

Other events include:

* A study group for Men and Women of the Bible will meet Tuesday, April 25, at 6 p.m. at the Troy library meeting room, 215 W. Main St., Troy. Registration is requested. For more information, call 910-572-1311.

* The East Montgomery Theatre group will present two plays, “The Three Little Pigs” and “Alice in Wonderland,” at the Troy library on Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., both plays at each time. Registration for groups is requested by calling 910-572-1311.

* Free Comic Book Days will be held at all Montgomery County Public Library branches. Visit libraries at Biscoe, 307 Page St., Biscoe; Candor, 138 S. School St., Candor; Mt. Gilead, West Allenton Street, Mt. Gilead; and Star, 222 S. Main St., Star, on Friday, May 5, for a free comic book. Saturday, May 6, is Free Comic Book Day at the Troy library. All ages are welcome.

* Come to the library for Story Time at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each Monday at the Troy library. Stories are read on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at the Star library and on Fridays at 11 a.m. at the Biscoe library.
