The shoplifting occurred Saturday at the Exxon at U.S. 17 and N.C. 210

HAMPSTEAD -- The Surf City Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying three people suspected of shoplifting from a local gas station.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the theft occurred around 6:23 p.m. Saturday at the Exxon at the intersection of U.S. 17 and N.C. 210.

Two white males and a white female were seen allegedly grabbing multiple food and drink items from the store before walking out, according to the post.

The post stated that the first male was wearing a green hoodie, a gray hat with white and black markings on the front and blue jeans. The second man was wearing a heavy tan jacket, a black hat with white writing on the front, dark pants and a light colored undershirt.

The female was wearing a black hoodie and dark colored pants. She had long dark hair that was put up into a bun.

They were last seen getting into a white SUV, which police believe could be a Buick Rendezvous.

Surf City police are still seeking the identity of two suspects who allegedly shoplifted from the same gas station in February.

Anyone with information about either incident or the identities of the suspects can contact the Surf City Police Department at 910-328-7711 or by email at
