Four men were lifted by helicopter this weekend after the boat they were on ran aground in New River Inlet.

The Coast Guard was notified that a 27-foot boat ran aground and was taking on water near New River Inlet at around 5 p.m. Sunday, according to a USCG press release. An MH-60 helicopter arrived at around 7 p.m., lifting the four men from the boat and taking them to New River Air Station. The men, including one who reported chest pains while the Coast Guard air crews were en route, were met at the air station by EMS personnel.
