The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing man.

Antony Mark Batts, 27, was last seen near North Bryan Road on Oct. 21, according to a release by the sheriff’s office.

Batts has some medical problems and may be in need of assistance, said Maj. Chris Thomas, but the problems are long-term and not due to any incident.

His mother was the last to see him and he’s not turned up since then, Thomas said.

Batts has been known to frequent the Plaza Manor Apartments area in Jacksonville but checks in the area by law enforcement have been unsuccessful thus far, he said.

Batts is a black man 6’2”, approximately 140 pounds and has short hair, according to the release.
