ALDI is coming to town — and they’re looking for 15 new employees.

The low-priced grocery store chain is expected to open a Jacksonville store in early 2017, according to ALDI Salisbury Division Vice President Krysta Cearley, and they’re hoping to fill up to 15 positions.

The grocery is looking for store associates, shift managers and manager trainees.

The company offers higher wages than other retailers in the market, Cearley said, as well as full health insurance and dental coverage to part-time employees working 25 hours or more. All ALDI employees are allowed to participate in the 401(k) program.

Store associates are hired at $11.35 per hour; shift managers are hired at $15.35 per hour; and manager trainees are hired at $53,350 per year, according to information from the company.

A hiring event will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. at Hampton Inn and Suites, located at 1032 Hampton Inn Way in Jacksonville.

Applicants are asked to bring an ID and, if possible, a resume, Cearley said.

“Our hiring events are designed to find the best possible employees to serve ALDI customers,” Cearley said.
