A little common sense

I frequent the recycle center in Hampstead, yesterday on my way there I saw a pick-up truck with a tool box on the back with a bag of garbage sitting on top of the tool box, just waiting to fly off as soon as he accelerated.

I am constantly astounded by the amount of trash strewn along highway 17, and I think a lot of it comes from people just like that who throw their trash in the back of their pick-ups and don’t tie it down in any way and some of it flies out before they get to the recycle center.

If you leave with five bags of garbage what do you think happened when you get there and you have only three left!?

I have also followed garbage trucks and construction trucks along the highway, with trash flying out of them, and no one seems to be looking back to notice!

It’s time to take some pride in our lovely surroundings and environment, tie your trash down and don’t litter.
