Surfer of the Week: Aaron Doerter
Well surfers and surfettes, it looks like Thursday and Friday are going to be fun! We have a low pressure spinning off the coast. The waves should be between 4 and 5 feet with a westerly wind. All the spots should be working from the washout to Milton's Bridge.
Now, the weekend is looking a little smaller - Saturday and Sunday will be in the 3 to 4 foot range, hopefully, and the wind will be shifting out of the north. Should be a fun time at Surf City Pier, but if you're feeling a surf trip, Hatteras will be rockin'. S turns should be the call.
Monday through Wednesday it will be getting smaller as the low pressure moves on up the coast - about 1 to 2 feet, I think.
We like to say good going to Gus Byrd and Kyle Sumner for saving a tourist this weekend. Nice job!
