Onslow County Parks & Recreation Department and Onslow Pines Park Concession Stand Committee invite you to participate in the Spooktacular Fun at Onslow Pines Park, Friday and Saturday October 30 and 31 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Fun for all ages, a Haunted Trail Ride $5 Adults and $3 Kids, Frightfully Fun Games, Costume Contest Saturday 7pm open to all ages, a Pumpkin Junction for the youngsters with Moonwalks, Games and a Train Ride! • Halloween Costume Contest & Matinee Movie
Onslow County Parks & Recreation Dept. and Carmike Cinema 16 are sponsoring a Halloween Costume Contest & Matinee Movie. The event is being held Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Carmike Cinema 16, behind the Jacksonville Mall, starting at 9 a.m. The cost for this year’s event is three canned goods per person (which will be donated to Onslow County Christmas Cheer). Open to all children 12 years old and younger, parents are encouraged to attend. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded to contest winners in several age groups. Free goody bags! Belle of Topsail Haunted Tours
• Trick or Treat Cruise 4 p.m.
Thursday through Sunday or whenever possible! One-hour cruise on the Intracoastal. Costumes encouraged! $15 for Adults, $10 for children 12 years of age and younger, children two years old and younger get onboard for free.

Kiwanis Trick or Treat in the Park
The Kiwanis Club of Hampstead would like to invite everyone to Trick or Treat in the Park on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. This is the fourth year for the community's safe and fun Halloween party, under the lights, on the athletic field. There will be a free hayride, inflatable games and lots of candy. A costume contest for the children will be held at 6 p.m. Register for the contest from 5 to 6 p.m. Concessions will be for sale so you don't have to cook dinner. Trunk or Treat
Faith Harbor United Methodist will host Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. This free community event boasts decorated car trunks filled with candy, and games and crafts. A Christian Alternative to Halloween: Saturday, October 31, 6 to 9 p.m. at Covenant Park (Behind Faith Covenant Church, Hwy 172, Sneads Ferry). Bring a lawn chair. Hay rides, Candy, Hotdogs, Pig Pickin, Children’s Play Area, Music and Games.
