The 19th annual Memorial Day Ceremony of American Legion Post 167 of Hampstead was held on May 23 at the Hampstead Village Shopping Center.
Post Commander Bob Andrews and guest speaker U.S. Coast Guard Commander John P. Nadeau called the 19th annual Memorial Day Ceremony of the Hampstead American Legion Post 167 to order on May 23. Nadeau is currently the commanding officer of the Marine Safety Unit in Wilmington, where he leads approximately 100 active duty and reserve Coast Guard men and women. As the Captain of the Port and Federal Maritime Security Coordinator, Commander Nadeau is responsible for all marine safety, maritime security and pollution response activity in the port of Wilmington and all of southeastern N.C.
