The Grand Opening of Surf City Wastewater Water Treatment Plan took place on the morning of June 25, with a dedication ceremony. Mayor Zander Guy led the ceremony, while Mayor Pro-Tem Doug Medlin led the opening prayer. Councilman Michael Curley led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Surf City Mayor Zander Guy remarks over the past 8 years. He mentioned how the town has upgraded the island sewer pump stations, extended service along Highways 210, 50 and 17, and constructed the new advanced wastewater treatment system.
