Michael Nelson honored

• During the Topsail Island Association of Realtors general membership meeting at the Surf City Community Center, President Jackie James took the opportunity to present to Michael Nelson a plaque recognizing his many activities during the board year of 2007. Thursday being declared as a day to bring your daughter to work, you will notice Miss Charlotte resting very comfortably in Michael's arms.

• The Topsail Island Association of Realtors President Jackie James recognized Past President Michael Nelson as Realtor of the Month. Michael has been in real estate in Topsail for six years, following a lengthy career as a CPA and financial executive in the Raleigh/Durham area. He has served on the Board of Directors of T.I.A.R. for five years and served as president in 2007. Deep water properties with boating access is his specialty which is only natural given his love of boating and time spent on the pristine waters around Topsail. This past year Michael completed the qualifications for and earned his U.S. Coast guard Captain's License.Miss Charlotte is a die-hard boater and even has her own life jacket. If the vessel pulls away from the dock, she expects to be onboard.
