Doomed dune?

We love the Topsail Advertiser, so we thought that you could help us. Recently, we were dismayed to find that our dune overpass on 11th Avenue was completely covered with sand. This was a severe safety hazard both to elderly folks, as well as parents with young children. We had talked to Brad Smith, our North Topsail Beach Town Manager at the time, and he said that he had also tried to get Onslow County to care for their NTB dune overpass, but to no avail. Either Onslow County should cede these dune overpasses to NTB, which will properly maintain them, or be sure that they were successfully maintained by Onslow County.
