Blackberry jam, 'Jammin' for an Effort'
First United Methodist Church's Youth Outing in Graham's Blackberry Patch
The best-kept secret in Sneads Ferry is Graham's Blackberry Patch. These jewel blackberries have no thorns and are huge! Luckily for these wee few, the tourists haven't quite picked up on this little tucked away place, which means more berries for them to pick.
Pictured here is Levi Bryant labeling jars of blackberry jam, from the group's outing at the patch, working towards a Jammin' for Christian effort. The group of children are picked berries for the purpose of making jam to aid in a worthy cause.
The First United Methodist Church of Sneads Ferry will have a tent set up during the Shrimp Festival offering free water. Jammed goods will make their way to the tent, as well.
