Poplar Grove Spotlight: Tarheel Beef Company

Koster is manning his booth and making himself available to be your very own individual meat man. Koster makes the best planning assistant if hosting a cookout and serving beef.
Tarheel Beef Company offers outstanding recipes, advice on portion sizes and helpful hints on cooking methods. Koster also has a family package deal for discount volume purchase and a bar-b-que /party pack that includes prime steaks, short ribs and ground beef. Tarheel Beef Company offers tenderloin (filets), rib eye, NY strip, t-bone, flank, chuck, cube, ground, sirloin and flatiron steaks. If you prefer roasts, Koster has sirloin tip, top or bottom round, chuck, brisket and London broil for your selection. Also offered are short ribs, boneless stew beef, sliced beef liver and ground beef. If you want to purchase bones for soup (or your pet pooch) or Beef Fat for Suet, Koster has that on hand as well.
Koster is proud to say, “Tarheel Beef Company is a family owned business. The Angus cattle, raised here in North Carolina, eat great N.C. grass and water. No hormones, fillers or antibiotics are used. The feeding is finished with 120 days of grain.” Koster adds, “Our beef is aged for a minimum of 21 to 35 days the old-fashioned way for maximum natural tenderization.”
