After two cross-country backpacking adventures and living in Maui, Hawaii, she began her newspaper career in 2005 upon her return home to North Carolina.
Carrie lives in Surf City with her four-year spousal equivalent Joey, two Chinese Cresteds Kula and Desdemona, and cat Jazmine.
